The definition of health goes beyond the absence of disease to include the day-to-day conditions in which individuals, families and children live, learn, work and play. These are social determinants of health. Today, we see healthcare costs rise as the population’s health and wellness actually declines. What would innovation around health and well-being look like? The St. Peter community is ripe with opportunity for innovation and is ready to step into meaningful conversation on this topic.
This Social Innovation Lab is focused on innovating around health and well-being in the St. Peter community. We will create a space to build connections, leverage strong community assets, and co-create a healthier community. We are expecting 150 community members to participate.
Health and well-being conversations are already taking place in various sectors and organizations in this community. The time is right for a participatory approach to community-wide discussion on health and well-being. This is the first Social Innovation Lab to come to greater MN, it is an opportunity to gather in one space and innovate together for the health and well-being of our community.
